The current EDC officers are:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"976\" data-end=\"1445\">\n<li data-start=\"976\" data-end=\"1101\">\n<p data-start=\"978\" data-end=\"1101\"><strong data-start=\"978\" data-end=\"991\">President<\/strong> \u2013 Wendy Walker-Fox, Executive Director, Workforce and Economic Development, Piedmont Triad Regional Council<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1102\" data-end=\"1200\">\n<p data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"1200\"><strong data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"1122\">Vice President<\/strong> \u2013 Jennie Bowen, Executive Director, Rivers East Workforce Development Board<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1201\" data-end=\"1333\">\n<p data-start=\"1203\" data-end=\"1333\"><strong data-start=\"1203\" data-end=\"1238\">Second Vice President\/Secretary<\/strong> \u2013 Charity Patterson Hamber, Executive Director, Western Piedmont Workforce Development Board<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1334\" data-end=\"1445\">\n<p data-start=\"1336\" data-end=\"1445\"><strong data-start=\"1336\" data-end=\"1364\">Immediate Past President<\/strong> \u2013 Pat Sturdivant, Executive Director, Capital Area Workforce Development Board<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1447\" data-end=\"1662\">We also extend our heartfelt thanks to <strong data-start=\"1486\" data-end=\"1501\">Anna London<\/strong>, Executive Director of Charlotte Works, for her dedicated service as EDC Secretary over the past year. Her commitment and leadership have made a lasting impact.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1664\" data-end=\"1763\">As the new NCAWDB President, <strong data-start=\"1703\" data-end=\"1721\">Jeff Frederick<\/strong> shared a message of gratitude and vision:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1765\" data-end=\"2864\">\n<p data-start=\"1767\" data-end=\"2069\">\u201cIt is with deep gratitude and renewed purpose that I step into the role of President of the North Carolina Association of Workforce Development Boards. For some of you, this is a reintroduction. For others, it is the beginning of a new chapter together. Either way, I\u2019m honored to serve alongside you.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2075\" data-end=\"2378\">We are entering a pivotal moment in our workforce ecosystem. The challenges we face\u2014shifting labor markets, technological disruption, equity gaps, and economic uncertainty\u2014are real and pressing. And yet, I believe this is also a time for bold ideas, powerful collaboration, and sustained transformation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2384\" data-end=\"2443\">This term, I am committed to fostering an environment that:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2446\" data-end=\"2701\">\n<li data-start=\"2446\" data-end=\"2505\">\n<p data-start=\"2448\" data-end=\"2505\">Elevates equity and innovation in workforce programming<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2508\" data-end=\"2563\">\n<p data-start=\"2510\" data-end=\"2563\">Strengthens partnerships across sectors and regions<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2566\" data-end=\"2626\">\n<p data-start=\"2568\" data-end=\"2626\">Builds trust and transparency through open communication<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2629\" data-end=\"2698\">\n<p data-start=\"2631\" data-end=\"2698\">Supports Boards and staff through change, uncertainty, and growth<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2704\" data-end=\"2864\">I believe in the power of collaboration\u2014and I know that together, we can shape an ecosystem that meets the needs of today\u2019s job seekers and tomorrow\u2019s economy.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"2866\" data-end=\"3223\">Finally, NCAWDB extends its deepest appreciation to <strong data-start=\"2918\" data-end=\"2935\">Rodney Carson<\/strong>, outgoing President, for his dedicated leadership and impactful service.
